pita and doo dah

Doo Dah is another special one that was dropped off to Animal Control-no name- nothing.  I estimate him to have been born about 2004.  He has had a couple strange problems over the last couple years.  He had the regular things-adrenal and insulinoma.  But for the last year, once every 3-4 weeks, he has a huge liver cyst drained.  We get between 50 and 100cc of fluid each time.  Surgery would involve removing part of the liver and he’s not in good enough shape.  He also had a chordoma near the base of his tail that was removed so now he has no tail!!

pita and doo dah

Pita is a big DEW that probably was a silver in his younger days.  He was a classroom pet that was no longer able to stay at the school. He was born in 2003 and since I’ve had him, he’s had his spleen removed, diagnosed with a tumor near his heart and from the medicine for that-he’s now diabetic and on insulin (in addition to three other drugs)!!!!  He goes to work with me everyday and everywhere else too!

Cooper and Missy

Posted on Monday, April 26th, 2010

Cooper and Missy are two beautifully marked dark-eyed white ferrets, a boy and girl, respectively.  They were born in October 2007, and were an owner surrender brought in to Chadwell Animal Hospital.  They’re very sweet and loving.  They’ve been together since they were young, so they would also do best in a group by themselves or in a home with no other ferrets.  They are ADV-blood tested negative and current on all vaccines.

major burns radar and honey

Posted on Monday, April 26th, 2010

Major Burns is a sable mitt boy; Radar is a sable boy; and Honey is a chocolate girl.  They were born in January 2009 and were surrendered when the daughter went away to college.  They get along great with others, and are just the cutest threesome you’d ever want to meet.  Since they are so young and get along so well with others, if absolutely necessary, this group could possibly be split into a pair and a single, as long as the single is going to a home with another friendly ferret with whom to play and cuddle.  They are ADV-blood tested negative and current on all vaccines.
