Pinky is a champagne male. He’s a 2 year old (DOB about 5/07) big boy and he needs to be adopted with Farley. He was surrendered because his owners moved to a place that wouldn’t allow pets. He’s very playful and is just a great ferret.

Announcing a Really Cool Raffle to Help OXFORD FERRET RESCUE (501c3). This shelter is very near and dear to my heart! Many of our our fosters and adopted friends came from Oxford, and Claudia is always there when I need her from advice to pet sitting. Oxford has been through a lot lately and the surrenders just keep coming. She spends over $300 monthly on medications for the many long term residents and new surrenders (diazoxide, pred, fluids, vaccinations, antibiotics, revolution, and many more). In addition there are 20 fuzzie friends awaiting desorelin implants. Additionally there are the food costs, litter, and about $1,000 in monthly vet expenses and so much more! With all these expenses the shelter is really in need of help. So I am holding a raffle to do what I can. The raffle will run today (8-6-10) through Sept. 15th. I still have one item to post pictures Item 17 (Lisa O’s Bedding Set with matching Large Barrel and Large Den by Creations by Angie). Tickets are only $1 and there are some VERY cool prizes!!! Please consider purchasing tickets.

Yankee Candle Fundraiser

We are selling YANKEE CANDLES!!!!
These are the same candles you get in the store but Yankee Candle
will give 40% of everything we sell to the rescue!!!!!
Both Claudia and myself have the brochures and we will be glad to mail them
to anyone who would like to sell or buy. Or you can pick them up from me or Claudia.
This is actually the fall/winter catalog so all their new fragrances are in this
catalog with their new Christmas pieces and scents!
We sold Yankee Candles last year and it was a huge hit! Yankee Candles
are the best candles with the greatest scents and now you can buy them and
money goes to the rescue!!!
These candles make great gifts for teachers, friends, relatives and of course
yourself. So please get a brochure or you can look online and decide what
you would like then contact me and I can give you the prices and fill your order
out for you. Anything you buy will help Claudia and the ferrets in her care.

I know it seems like we are always having some sort of fund raiser or
trying to find a way to make money for rescue but as you all know
ferrets are so expensive and they get so sick. Claudia has so many old
and sick ferrets that require lots of vet care and lots of medicine.
She recently took in 7 ferrets in 1 week!!!! Two of them are returns
from a previous adopter and they are over 6!!!! She also has
some great adoptables so if you are looking to add to your ferret
family please let her know!
Again, thanks for always helping Claudia raise money for the care of
all the many ferrets in her care because without her where would these
ferrets be???

Thanks to all of you who have been voting and continue to vote atwww.refresheverything.com, Luna’s house has moved up from 64th place
to 48th place since posted here only 9 days ago!!!. Only 48 places to
go in 14 days and we can do it !! If you missed it last week, look
below to help .
Okay ferret friends and animal lovers, here is your chance to make a
difference not only for ferrets , but exotics , cats , dogs and all
homeless animals. Chadwell Animal hospital is teaming up with Luna’s
House, to open a 14,000 sq ft vetted animal shelter/ education center.
The new facility will allow them to include ferrets!! They have
acquired the property, now they need help with funding for the
renovations. Maryland ferret shelters are full and this is the break
we desperately need!!!
EVERY DAY in JUNE you can vote for Luna’s House to help them become the
Pepsi Challenge $250,000 grant recipient, and helping them will help
our cause!
Here’s how:
1. go to http://www.refresheverything.com
2. Register by going to the bottom of the page and clicking on “Join

3. Once registered, you are entitled to 10 votes per day but PLEASE
only vote for Luna’s House in the 250k category 1x per day. If you

Many people ask how we keep going, day after day, taking care of so many needy ferrets. Running a shelter, we see some very difficult things, and we also experience beautiful moments.
