Bowling for the Ferrets

Bowling for the FERRETS at Oxford Ferret Rescue!!!!!

We will be bowling for the ferrets on Oct. 9, 2011.

The ferrets are coming in by leaps and bounds!

Claudia has taken in almost 14 ferrets in the last few weeks!

Most are from the SPCAs but there were also 8 ferrets

that were returns from adoptions several years ago.

Its a sad economy and folks are moving for jobs

or selling their houses and unfortunately the pets

are almost always the ones that end up leaving their

families through no fault of their own.

So please come bowl with us!!!

Bowling will be at Brunswick Newark Bowling lanes in Newark,

Delaware in the Newark Shopping Center.

2:30pm to 4:30pm

Cost is $15 per person which includes shoes.

We will also have a great raffle table for ferret

and non ferret items! And if there

are enough people we will have a 50/50 raffle.

I will need a head count on Tues. Oct. 4 so ask your

friends, family and co-workers to join us for a fun few hours

and help the ferrets at Oxford Ferret Rescue!!!!

So please come out and BOWL FOR THE FERRETS

AT OXFORD FERRET RESCUE!!!!

Yankee Candle Fundraiser

We will be selling Yankee Candles to benefit all the ferrets

Oxford Ferret Rescue.

The fund raiser will run now till Oct 10, 2011. The great thing about Yankee

Candle is when you sell candles for them, I turn your seller’s sheet in to

them and they will pack only your order in your own box! Its such an

easy and convenient way to ship the boxes. You will only get what

is yours in your box! So sell to all your family and friends, co-workers,

neighbors and dont forget to stock up on your gifts for xmas.

If you would like an order form and a brochure please let me

know as soon as possible. Claudia also has brochures at

Chadwell Animal Hospital if you need one.

I will call the order in the week of Oct 10, 2011 and it usually

takes about a week or so to get the orders. As always I will

make a trip to Chadwell to deliver any orders from down

that way and Bonita works in Wilmington and lives in

Newark so she should be near anyone else.

This fund raiser is one of our biggest fund raisers and

we need all the orders we can get. Claudia needs to put

the money on the bill at the hospital so please do what

you can to sell for the rescue.

Little Caesar’s Pizza Fundraiser

We have decided to try Little Caesars Pizza this time rather than Joe Corbis.

I have had this pizza and I think its delicious!!! Its tastes just like you bought it

fresh from the pizza store. We havent done this in the past because they

dont pay the Rescue as much as Corbis but I think everyone will enjoy the change

and they are cheaper then Corbis!

Both Claudia and I have brochures. We can mail them to you to sell to your friends,

neighbors, co-workers and yourself. You can also see the full brochure online.

Delivery of the pizza will be at my house on Thurs. August 18 at approx

11am. I will be traveling down to Chadwell to deliver to those folks down

that way and Bonita will deliver to Wilmington. Or you can certainly come

over to my house and pick up your order.

So just let us know if you need a brochure or check it out online.

You can place your order up to one week before delivery.

Thanks for helping the ferrets in Claudia’s care. Claudia has gotten in

over 10 ferrets in less than 2 weeks!!!! But she does have a number of adoptables

so if you are looking to add to your ferret family we can get you pictures of

the new kids looking for a home!

Many people ask how we keep going, day after day, taking care of so many needy ferrets. Running a shelter, we see some very difficult things, and we also experience beautiful moments. Watch our short video showing some of the ferrets who have come through Oxford Ferret Rescue. Through these images, they can answer that question better than we can put into words.

Thank you to those who have supported our efforts through the years. And thank you to those who have opened their hearts to ferrets like those in this video.
