Baby and Girlie were patients at the vet hospital where I work. They were very well taken care of and I thought very much loved. Their owner knew that I was a rescue and I was shocked when he asked if I would take them since they were moving into a new home. They were 6 and 7 years old! I was very disappointed when he showed up at the vet with a new puppy a couple of weeks later. This was the end of 2004 and I am so very glad that I took them as they both have brought me so much joy. Baby is currently on prednisone and diazoxide for insulinoma. She also developed heart problems and is on lasix and digoxin. She is doing very well and certainly doesn't know that she is sick. When Pinky came in as a 6 year old I was glad. I knew that Baby would need the company as her friend Girlie, was not well. Girlie lost her struggle with the diseases that she was suffering from in Febuary of 2006. We miss her very much! Pinky has also left for the bridge. Baby is our miracle girl. She needs help with her daily medical needs.
